It took 2 years from start to finish and all done during the Covid period, which was no easy task I tell you. As well as the normal struggles of running a school, keeping to the Covid restrictions and continuing to lead a positive team through these troubling times was very difficult. Sickness and death caused gloom around every corner. Lockdown called for every to stay home but as we work with vulnerable young people we had to go to work. Every day all we heard on the news and on the radio was that we should stay home, but we were told we still had to go to work. The impact this had on peoples wellbeing was tremendous and in many cases unmanageable. Therefore to manage to complete my headship course during this time, I am very proud.
Now I have achieved my NPQH its time to move onto the next stage of the journey. I am applying fro funding on a weekly basis to start new projects, leading towards the bigger goal of a new site in Essex. Wish me luck :)
